Proof: It is a fact that $1 = 100 cents.

Divide both sides by 100, or ($1)/100 = (100 cents)/100

This is equivalent to $(1/100) = 1 cent

Now, taking the square root of both sides, we have SQRT($1/100) = SQRT(1 cent).

This is equivalent to $(1/10) = 1 cent.

Now, multiply both side by 10, to get $1 = 10 cents!
