3% of your life!
That's how much of your life of 75 years is devoted to learning how to read. The 3% is traced to the assumption that we spend four years in grades K-3 immersed in reading instruction--720 days based on 180 school days/year.
Task 1: Do you agree with the logic used in determining the 720 days? Explain.
Task 2: What fraction of your life is devoted to learning mathematics? Explain your reasoning.
