Fact? or Fiction?

I know the last thing most want to think about is eating after the Thanksgiving weekend....but consider this claim made in an "old" news source:

The Claim: By his or her 70th birthday, the average American has eaten 14 steers, 1050 chickens, 3.5 lambs, and 25.2 hogs.
