Hungry for Pizza

In one sense, this is a repeat of some previous humor, but in this case, the humor actually occurred in reality.

In a column regarding the life and recent death of Fred Lane Sr., longtime leader for the Lummi Nation, Bernie Thomas recalled Lane's sense of humor: "Fred's humor was the glue that put us all together," Thomas said.

Thomas recalled going out for pizza with Lane while the two were on a tribal business trip. The server asked Lane if he wanted the pizza cut in eight pieces or twelve, and Lane replied, "You better cut it into eight pieces. I don't think I could eat twelve."
