Many rank me as being one of "the modern world’s greatest mathematical minds."
Though living currently, I purposely dress like a 19th-century aristocrat, complete with 3-piece suits, frilly shirts and Multi-colered cravats.
I have very long hair, a thin frame, and wear samples from my vast collection of giant spider brooches...causing others to call me “The Lady Gaga of Mathematics.”
Yet, I have been awarded the Fields Medal for my work on mathematical physics regarding gas dynamics and entropy...answering "centuries-old problems and connecting important strands of physics, math and economics in the process."
Currently, I am a professor at the University of Lyon and direct France’s leading scientific research centers, the Institut Henri Poincaré.
Also, I am a husband and am the father of two children.
