Canadians Do Math
Starbucks recently ran a sweepstakes for $1000. If a winner, an American could claim the prize.
But, if Canadian, the winner faced a math question. That is, according to the rules, "they will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a timed, mathematical skill-testing question, to be administered ...either by mail, telephone, e-mail, or fax...before the awarding of the prize."
The nature of the question is something like (3+4)*2 = ?
So, Canadian students...practice your mathematics!
