5th Graders Live Where?

At random times, I get to watch reruns of the TV program Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? The usual result is also a rerun of my Ughs!

On 7/3/2010, the $3000 question was from the category of 3rd Grade Math: "True or False: A quadrilateral can have all of its angles be acute?"

Tom Arnold, the celebrity contestant, did not know the answer, but his "helping" student did. The latter put "False."

But is this right? What about all of those 5th graders who live in a hyperbolic non-Euclidean world, where the answer is "True." In fact, all four angles could basically be zero degrees.

Yet you claim...no 5th graders live in a hyperbolic non-Euclidean world! And I reply..ah, but all 5th graders live in such a world...as that is our world. It is Euclidean only locally.

And, for the record, I did not waste my time writing to correct the show...
