Martin Gardner, in his column "Word Play" in 2007, wrote...

π goes on and on and on,
And e is just as cursed.
I wonder how does π begin
When its digits are reversed.

An interesting idea...but does the reversal happen on both sides of the decimal?

Also, read the following carefully, as it is a groaner: "I prefer pi," said Tom palindromically, when asked which number he like better."

Ah, the eternal fascination of people over pi continues...
