A 0, A 1, A 2, And A 3
Usually The Math Forum sponsors its "Year Game." But, I have not seen any recent notice of the contest for this year, so I will get things started.
The task: To write expressions for all the numbers from 1 to 100 using only the digits in the current year (2013).
To illustrate, for the number 4, you could use (3+0)+(21) = 4 or (31)x(2+0) or (3!)(.2x10) .... Be Creative!
The rules:
Write an expression for the counting numbers 1 100
Use only the digits 2, 0, 1, 2 and the standard operations +, , x, ÷, ^ (raised to a power), sqrt (square root), and ! (factorial), along with grouping symbols
It is legal to use decimal points (e.g. .2) and doubledigit numbers (e.g. 12)
Ah...the Math Forum just came through in the nick if time. Submit entries to the Math Forum Year Game for 2013.
