Iíll Stay on Land...Olde Beef?

Suppose the sea allowance for the common men to be 5 lbís of beef, and 3 lbís of biscuit a day, for a mess of 4 people; and that the price of the first is 2 1/2 d. per lb. and of the second 1 1/2 d. now, if the shipís company be such that the meat they eat cost the government 12 guineas per day, what must they pay for their bread per week?
