Perhaps students' reluctance to use graphs is inherent in a graph's simplicity as it displays information. With such concisely-stated information, misunderstandings of concepts are glaring, blatant, and embarrassing...Perhaps students are reluctant to use graphs because they lure students into simplicity which demands entire understanding.
