1 2/3 Cents per Poster...A Good Deal?

Do you want to bring more ideas from the history of mathematics into your classroom? And, are you looking for a resource for historical ideas and mathematicians?

For $15, you can get a useful CD sold by MathIsRadical (SEE * Below). A nice resource, it contains more than 900 printable posters in Word. The posters are 11" x 8 1/2" in size, but can be printed on regular size paper or on card stock.

Consider these categories:

  • Mathematicians (e.g. Descartes, Euler, Newton, Pascal, Ptolemy, Lovelace)
  • Geographic Regions (e.g. China, Egypt, Greece, India)
  • Topics (e.g. Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Women, calculating machines)
  • Chronology (e.g. Medieval, Renaissance, 1600-1750)
  • Plus more....
  • * Unfortunately, the site and ist resources are no longer abvailable. So, for posters, I suggest the MathDL web site.
