GIGO: Garbage In...Garbage Out

Claim: Each day, every person in the United States generates 4.3 pounds of garbage or waste.

Question: How many pounds of garbage does an American generate in a year? In their lifetime?

Investigation: How does this amount of daily waste compare to people living in other countries? Which country generates the most waste (pounds per person)? The least waste?

Concern: What is done with all of this garbage or waste?
