An E-mail Bearing Data

We received this odd e-mail, bearing some data preceded by a cryptic phrase: "This should clearly define our problem."

Pythagorean Theorem: ..............................................24 words

Lord's Prayer:...........................................................66 words

Archimedes' Principle: ............................................. 67 words

Ten Commandments: ..............................................179 words

Gettysburg Address: .................................................286 words

Declaration of Independence : ...............................1,300 words

U.S. Constitution with 27 Amendments : ................7,818 words

U.S. Government regulations on sale of cabbage:.... 26,911 words

What does this set of data mean? What is the "problem" being defined?

My first thought: The less something is of value, the more words needed to document/explain it...?
