Real World Graphs

Consider this opening paragraph from an article describing the research of Timothy J. Hatton, Professor of Economics at the University of Essex.

"The average height of European males increased by an unprecedented 11 cm between the mid-nineteenth century and 1980....Contrary to expectations, the study also reveals that average height actually accelerated in the period spanning the two World Wars and the Great Depression."

Your Task: Draw multiple possible graphs that represents these claims (time range is 1870 - 1980), being sure to show the effects of first and second derivatives.
