Peanuts Recycled

Some of the best things in life are free. A prime example is this website established by Rick Paris, a high-school mathematics teacher at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire. The nine software offerings are quite diverse, ranging from a graphical plotting program to a statistics package to a geometry program that is comparable to the commercial package The Geometric Sketchpad. All of these powerful packages are free for teachers just for the downloading.

The website also includes a database/mailing list of users to share information, plus a FAQ section that clarifies ceratin details regarding the use of the software.

The only problem for some mathematics teachers....the software is available only for PC users. Sorry, no Mac versions.

Also, any idea why his offerings are made under the name Peanut Software? Think about some reasons...before peeking at his website for the real reason.
